Lava fish therapy is now available in India.
The Ministry of Health in the national capital, Delhi, said it was a trial of the treatment for patients with serious cases of sepsis.
It will be rolled out in the next two to three weeks.
Lavafish is one of the deadliest types of freshwater fish in the world, killing more than 10,000 people every year.
It has a lifespan of about eight years.
