A Florida man’s story about using his own leg to help with his fish leg injury may be a first for someone else.
In this Nov. 10, 2014 photo, John McElwee uses his fish limb therapy to treat his fish-related leg pain at his home in Lake Worth, Fla.
McElwoe said he used to walk into the water to pick up his fish, but then his leg began hurting.
He said he was able to get the fish back to his home because the fish leg healed, and he can use the leg to catch fish.
But when he returned to the water in January, his leg hurt again, so he began getting treatment with the fish limb.
“I had no idea what to expect and just knew that I had to get treatment,” he said.
McElwees fish leg is so bad he doesn’t want to go swimming anymore.
He is hoping to catch more fish and heal his fish foot.
He’s trying to make his healing process more efficient and to get his family and friends involved in helping him heal.
“Hopefully this will get me more attention, more donations, more people seeing what I’m doing,” McElvee said.
He also wants to be able to make sure people know that his leg is healed, so if they’re concerned about what he’s going through, he doesn`t want to use the fish.
